A-60 DMS BULKHEAD SYSTEM

A flexible system

Dutch Marine Systems developed and put on the market a certified A60-Class Lightweight wall system especifically for the shipping industry. This partition wall system makes it possible to build an A-60 wall without having to weld steel bulkheads if the construction allows it. The prime advantage being the flexibility with which these walls can be installed. Another advantage is the significant weight reduction compared to a steel wall construction.

Seamless finishing

With a thickness of 12.5 mm per tile, the bulkhead system can be integrated seamlessly. This allows for the application of a variety of top layers including wallpaper, plasterwork, paint, or other decorative finishings. This special wall system has been awarded the strict A-60 certification and is perfectly suitable for finishing corridors and storage spaces in both passenger-carrying vessels and riverboats. A-60 certified partition walls can be applied in stairwells, control rooms, assembly rooms, and accommodation spaces described as such according to chapter 19 Special Provisions Applicable to Passenger Vessels of the ES-TRIN. Naturally, DMS also delivers certified A-60 doors and frames, which must be integrated in these walls according to the regulations.

Certified system

The wall is installed by means of a metal-stud construction including 60 mm stone wool. The construction includes 12.5 mm Fermacell lightweight panels on both sides. The total thickness of the wall is 100 mm. Weight is approx. 31 kg/m2. It is a certified system and DMS delivers the A-60 lightweight system including all necessary materials such as profiles, screws and jointing compounds. We have the partition walls in stock and they are available in the following size: 1200 x 2200 x 12.5 mm. Furthermore, the wall can also be ordered custom-made in any length starting from 1000m2.
